This newsletter highlights the importance of video marketing and gives tips you can use to grow the outreach of your marketing.
Happy New Year 🎉
January is when most businesses reset goals, rethink strategy, and decide how they want to show up this year. If marketing is on your list (and it probably is), this is the perfect time to talk about video.
Right now, attention is cheaper than it will be in a few months. Fewer campaigns are running, audiences are more receptive, and you have space to set the tone for the year instead of reacting later.
A strong video presence early in the year helps you:
Build trust before competitors ramp up
Clearly communicate what you do and who you help
Create content you can reuse across the entire year
You don’t need dozens of videos to be effective. Start with these three:
1. A Brand or Story Video
This is your “who we are and why we do it” piece. It doesn’t need to be flashy - just clear, authentic, and well-produced. This becomes a foundation asset for your website, pitches, and socials.
2. A Short Social Introduction
A 30-60 second video introducing yourself or your team works incredibly well on LinkedIn and Instagram in January. People want to know who they’re doing business with.
3. A Problem-Solving Video
Pick one common problem your customers face and explain how you solve it. Educational content builds credibility fast and positions you as the expert.
One professionally shot video can be turned into:
Multiple social clips
Website content
Email marketing assets
Paid ads later in the year
Planning video properly at the start saves time, money, and stress later on.
While phones are great tools, professional video ensures:
Clear messaging (no rambling or missed points)
Consistent branding
Proper lighting, sound, and framing
Content that actually reflects the quality of your business
Good video doesn’t just look better - it performs better.
If video is something you want to use more intentionally in 2026, January is the best month to plan it properly. Even a simple conversation can help clarify what content would actually move the needle for your business.
